Passive Vibration Control Device
TMD:Tuned Mass Damper
The vibration of swaying structures is quickly converged to create a comfortable vibration environment.
Vertical Vibration Control Device mD-V
mD-V is a passive vibration control device that is inexpensive and saves space with a simple structure of a mass, spring, and damper (viscous mechanism) used to reduce vibration of floor structures. It can be installed in the beam pockets ceilings. We are also preparing sister devices for use on stairs and indoor bridges.
mD-V Features
- Able to achieve a reduction effect of 1/2 to 1/3.
- It accelerates the convergence of unpleasant shaking.
- Its compact design can be installed in beam pockets.
Horizontal Vibration Control Device mD-H
mD-H features
- One unit can control two horizontal axes.
- Able to achieve a reduction effect of 1/2 to 1/3.
- It accelerates the convergence of unpleasant shaking.
Red: TMD OFF
Green: TMD ON
Vibration acceleration level is reduced to 1/3 or less.
Reference: Reduced to 1/3 with 10 dB reduction.
The frequency band that is easily felt by the human body is 3 to 8 Hz.
